Kerem Turunc is a partner based in the Istanbul office of TURUNC, a full-service Turkish law firm. Mr. Turunc specializes in mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions, and corporate governance. Mr. Turunc has substantial experience in inbound, outbound and domestic private and public M&A deals, representing corporate and private equity buyers and sellers alike. Mr. Turunc also has extensive experience representing issuers and underwriters in international and domestic finance transactions and securities offerings. Mr. Turunc’s experience covers many jurisdictions including Turkey, the European Union, the United States, Latin America, Asia, Israel and Russia, and a wide variety of industries including automotive, banking, consumer goods, energy, funds, infrastructure, health care, industrial goods, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and transportation. Before joining TURUNC, Mr. Turunc worked in the New York and London offices of the international law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. Mr. Turunc received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University. He has served as an adjunct professor at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law, and has also lectured at Harvard Law School, Kadir Has University Faculty of Law and New York University. He is a board member of the Istanbul Arbitration Association and a member of the Turkish Industry & Business Association (TUSİAD). Mr. Turunc is admitted to the Bars of New York, the District of Columbia, England & Wales and Istanbul.
